newsletterReserve Your Space in Bicycle City!

We have taken some of the very first reservations for people to live in Bicycle City! We are only accepting a limited number of reservations for you to secure your place in our new community, so if you want to be one of the first to get in on the excitement, reserve your chance to purchase either a settlement parcel or a condominium unit, or lease an apartment, today! Everyone who makes a reservation will receive a Bicycle City baseball cap, t-shirt and tote bag. Please visit to learn more.

In other news, we’ve added two new advisers to our team! Richard Register and Kirstin Miller from Ecocity Builders have joined the Bicycle City project. As president of Ecocity Builders, Richard is considered to be one of the world’s leading ecological design and planning theorists and authors. Richard is the author of three books about ecocity planning and has spoken around the world on the topic. Kirstin is Ecocity Builders’ executive director and an environmental activist and ecological strategist. She also teaches at the University of California Berkeley Extension. To learn more about Richard and Kirstin and the rest of our team, please visit our About Bicycle City page.

In conference news, we’ve been busy spreading the word about our project by sponsoring and exhibiting at the Southeast Watershed Forum in Charleston, SC, August 12-14. Then, August 14-18, we were in Washington, DC, exhibiting at and sponsoring the Animal Rights 2008 Conference. Here, Joe Mellett presented plans for Bicycle City and how we’ll ensure the health and welfare of our native animals during a session called “Engaging our Community.”
