Humans and animals have been evolving side-by-side for tens of thousands of years. Some animals were domesticated for reliable sources of protein, some were bred to be workers, hunters and vehicles for transportation, to protect and defend. Other animals, in addition to whatever other useful purposes they might have, also became our friends and companions.

Bicycle Cities will be "animal and pet friendly" communities. Well behaved, friendly, and well adjusted dogs, cats, and other pets are welcome. We envision Bicycle City to be a place where you can move to with your animals friends, with plenty of fresh air and places for recreation and romping.
